All right, he has finally arrived!!

Baby Daniel Lucas was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on 7/3/07. He weighs 9lbs 4 oz. and is 21 inches long.
It was a tough birth, since by the time we got to the hospital, I was already so far dilated that no pain medication could be administered anymore. So I squeezed him out 'au natural' and all I have to say about that is:

OUCH!!!

But he's healthy and strong and a voracious eater, and that's all that counts!

But life sure is different once more now. I had forgotten a lot of the ups and downs of taking care of a newborn (it's been 6 years since Junior was born). To prioritize between sleeping, eating and doing the most urgent of chores around the house is a definite challenge. Hubby also just started his new job today, so the timing was all kinda off and he only got to spend 5 days with his new son. Now he'll only be home on weekends, and I'm feeling the lack of help. Thankfully I did do it all before and I'm not a scared newbie-mom all alone, so I'm coping.
I wish I knew how to put a HUGE picture of my new little sweetie up on here, but since I don't, just check out my userpic!! :)

So for everyone on my F-List: I'm not going to be on much anymore, but I'll try to keep up with reading your stories and life-posts. But if you don't hear from me, it's probably because I'm trying to catch yet another 20-minute nap ;)

Awww! He's so cute! I love the name also; it's simple and classic. And at 9 lbs, he's obviously the big, strong type. Maybe he'll be the silent type as well so you can get some sleep!

I can't believe you didn't have any meds. I think I would have passed out. You are a tougher woman than I. Congrats again, and here's to your family! :o)

He is the cutest baby! Really OUCH about the pain meds though, I remember how mum was when she DID have the damned things...

Still stuck on how darned cute he is. You've got a lady-killer there!

I'll be sending pressie's next week - for Daniel, for Junior (we don't want him feeling left out) something for Mummy and I'll throw something in for Alex as well. Daggy's in Ireland but she got your address of me so she can get you something there for the cute little begger...

Aw, he looks even cuter than in the pic you sent me, maybe because he's had a few days to see the world now. And may I say he's a lucky kid to have a mommy like you.

I like the name. Very PRTF, especially with an Alex in the family too. :D

As you already know, newborns are a lot of hard work so get as much rest as you can, when you can :-D
