| Met the ladies |

Yesterday I met ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) cmar and <lj user="germankitty> for lunch in Manhattan! It was so nice seeing Cmar again after nearly a year, and Germankitty is just as sweet as I had imagined her to be. We ate and talked and must have gone through two dozen subjects in a little under two hours. Unfortunately then I had to run off to catch my bus back to the Pennsylvania boonies, where hubby and Baby were waiting for me after 6 hours by themselves. (Thankfully, they managed that just fine)
In the meantime, my resourceful mother-in-law, who had taken Junior to Build-a-bear workshop while I was lunching, kept the bus from leaving until I got there by acting as if she couldn't find her bus ticket. Gotta love her :)
Ladies, I had a great time with you, and I hope I didn't chew off your ears too badly ;) I don't get out much, you know.

I'm, um, sweet? Are you sure you didn't meet my pod alter ego? *grins, hugs* Thanks, ditto! Just as soon as you dashed away, I realized I'd forgotten to take pictures, dammit. *sigh* As for feeling better ... can't speak for cmar_wingnut (she went back to bed right after I almost got stuck in the bathroom), I've been coughing half the night, and am using less, but still quite a few tissues throughout the day. Grrr. Positive note: I'm over my jetlag. I loved meeting you, I wish we could've had more time together (and kinda in private, to discuss writing more/better), and maybe there'll be a next time one day ... PS: Junior is adorable!
It was indeed wonderful seeing you in person again, and getting the three of us together was a blast. Any time you want to run away from home get out again, just let me know! Like germankitty, I can't really say I'm better. This is the cold from hell. I just hope you didn't catch it from either of us. | |
