| | worried | ] | Things I fished out of Baby Daniel's mouth today: - Fuzzballs, several of them - A small pebble - Banana peel!
And the one I didn't get: I have no idea what it was, but he swallowed it before I could get to it. Hopefully it was another fuzzball, and nothing more serious. I was concerned and was watching him carefully for any signs of distress for a long time, but many hours later he was still fine, so now I'm just hoping that whatever it was will travel through his system and come out the other end without any problems.
ARGH, and he's not even walking yet. What will I be in for then??? |

You poor thing! I'm sure you'll do just fine. *huggle-smooch-squishes you*
Thanks :) Sometimes I wish I had Spider Senses to keep Little Man from getting into *any* kind of trouble *g*
You really have to ask? Haven't you already been there, done that with Junior? :)
Don't worry too much; kids are a lot tougher than we think. (Doesn't mean we shouldn't watch them like hawks, but unless you need to be concerned about truly dangerous stuff, like sharp objects or poisonous substances, it'll likely turn out okay.)
Still, *hugs*!
Yup, definitely been there, but since junior's phase was over six years ago, the details have become a bit blurry. Now I am reliving that time full-force again ;) I thoroughly vacuumed all the carpeted areas in the house yesterday, today I'll try to mop. And with my luck, after all this is done, he'll start pulling things out of drawers. Ah kids, gotta love them.
Just wait until you get to the phase where they are too old to bribe/punish into tidying their rooms -- and then try living with rooms that look like bomb sites! (We haven't been able to clean Gerrit's room for a whole YEAR now!)
He, he, he, in a way I'm having that right now. Since we're living in my mother-in-law's house, her youngest son, who is 20, still lives there, too. We've been here for about 15 months, and in that time I've seen him vacuum his room twice. He also hardly ever opens his windows, so you can imagine how that room smells every time he opens his door. He doesn't smell it anymore, but everyone else does, let me tell you!
Yeah ... Gerrit is 21, and he at least airs regularly. But he has laminate flooring; we need to WASH them, the window, dust the shelves ... his floor is so cluttered, he can't even open his closet anymore. Instead, he treks downstairs to the laundry room in the basement every morning to pick clean socks and underwear out of a basket ...
wow, sounds like a handful.
Also, I have a fic in the works your going to HAVE to beta for me...
Oh, and want more pictures of junior please!
- Oh yes, he is!! - Very cool! Send it on over! :) - More pics of Junior - coming right up! Check your e-mail ;)
Hey! Other folks want pictures, too!

i've changed my email address, send them to angelnita1@gmail.com
hugs
Hah, kids. If they're anything like cats they can swallow amazing things with no ill effects. I'm sure it will all - er - come out in the end.
I'm sure it will ;) Some people reading this post will probably think: Why wasn't she watching her kid properly? - But these things happen so fast, I literally had my back turned for less than a minute to put some water on the stove for boiling, and when I turned back around he was already chewing. *sigh* It's frustrating sometimes when you can't do something as simple as boiling pasta without keeping a constant watch out for Little Man, but it's not like I can keep him strapped in his High Chair or Walker all the time. Hm, I remember that Junior used to love sitting in his stroller, and often I had put him in there and just had him in the kitchen with me like that while I was cooking. That worked out quite well. Maybe I should try that with Daniel... | |
